MATCH STORY
The sixth edition of the battle for Los Angeles also happened to be the first edition of it to take place in the playoffs and fanfare ahead of the match was at an all-time high for the league. Tickets for the highly anticipated rematch were going for as high as $3500, and understandably so. With the Ibrahimović led OG LA side having won the first match of the 2019 season 3-2 and the return leg at Carlos Vela’s upstarts finishing in a 3-3 draw, everyone was ready for more fireworks for the big occasion. And it’s fair to say the hype was deserved. A seven-goal thriller unfolded at Banc of California Stadium, with Vela netting twice and Zlatan once. Two late goals from Adama Diomande as well were enough to seal Los Angeles’ biggest victory in the second-year club’s short existence.
DESIGN STORY
The match side of the wristband is inspired by the entrance the Eastern Columbia Building, arguably LA’ most famous art deco building. On the reverse, a series of LA-adorned calavera skulls frequently seen in the club’s vibrant supporter section separate the city’s name set in a design paying homage to the reknown Hollywood Sign.
