MATCH STORY
Considered by many to be one of the greatest matches of all time, the 1960 European Cup final between Madrid and Frankfurt was a legitimate goalfest. The Germans opened and closed the scoring at Glasgow’s Hampden Park. But in between those strikes came a hat trick from the immortal Alfredo Di Stéfano and four goals from “The Galloping Major” Ferenc Puskás. The final tally? 7-3 to Madrid, earning the Spanish giants their fifth straight European crown.
DESIGN STORY
The match is displayed on the white side of the wristband which features an inlaid pattern inspired by the famous Plaza Mayor in the Spanish capital. The reverse is meant to invoke the impact of Madrid on the sport, with the ripples caused by the club touching every corner of the beautiful game.
