A Lillywhite Night in Amsterdam Wristband
Commemorate the dramatic, come-from-behind second-leg victory at the Amsterdam Arena in the semifinals that saw the Lillywhites of North London overturn a first-leg deficit and advance to their first-ever European Cup final.
MATCH STORY
After escaping a “Group of Death” featuring Barcelona, Inter, and PSV, then smashing Dortmund and surviving a contentious draw against Manchester City in the knockout stage, Mauricio Pochettino’s men had already scaled incredible heights to reach the 2018/19 semifinals. But after falling 0-1 at home to Holland’s most famous club in the first leg and the conceding twice in the first half of the second leg, it seemed like the Lillywhites’ cinderella run was over. Enter Lucas Moura. Three second-half strikes — including one in the seventh minute of added time — from the Brazilian pulled his side level on aggregate and ahead on away goals to clinch a spot in the final.
DESIGN STORY
Both sides of the wristband feature designs inspired by the Lillywhites’ home ground — both old and new. The match side is displayed over a background emulating the paneling on the club’s exquisite new North London home, while the reverse depicts a design based on the traditional iron gates outside the old White Hart Lane’s Bill Nicholson Way entrance.
